Modular representations of p-adic quasi-split groups of rank 1

Abstract:
Let p be a prime number, let F be a finite extension of the field of p-adic numbers and let G be a connected reductive group which is defined, quasi-split and of relative rank 1 over F. The goal of this talk is to explain some results we proved in order to classify irreducible smooth representations of G(F) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p. As running (and basic) example, we will consider the special linear group SL2, for which we have the most advanced statements available so far.
