Abstract: In the talk I will explain an application of motivic six functor formalisms to geometric representation theory. For a partial flag variety, there is a category of stratified mixed Tate motives which carries both a weight structure and a t-structure. The heart of the weight structure can be identified with a category of Soergel modules, the heart of the t-structure provides a grading on the BGG-category O. This is joint work with Wolfgang Soergel.
