Prerequisites
This course is a direct follow-up of my lecture on finite group schemes last winter. I expect you to be well acquainted with the material covered then.
Content
We will finish the classification of finite group schemes over a perfect field of positive characteristic by means of Dieudonné theory. We will then pass on to p-divisible groups over complete discrete valuation rings and their associated Tate modules. In the end, I plan to outline Fontaine's construction of crystalline period rings and Grothendieck's mysterious functor.
