Arno Kret: Galois representations for even general special orthogonal groups, Oberseminar Oct. 29, 2020

I will discuss my recent work with Sug Woo Shin on the construction of Galois representations for even general special orthogonal groups. This work is based on a careful study of the cohomology of certain Shimura varieties associated to (forms of) $GSO_{2n}$. See also the recent preprint arxiv:2010.08408 on the arxiv server.
